November 13, 2024
Lifespace Communities, Inc., one of the nation’s top 10 largest nonprofit senior living organizations, is proud to announce that 13 of its communities have been named one of America’s Best Nursing Homes for 2025 by U.S. News & World Report. This recognition, awarded to top-performing health centers across the country, celebrates excellence in care quality and outcomes.
Thirteen of Lifespace’s communities earned this honor by achieving a “High Performing” rating — the highest possible — in short-term rehabilitation, with seven of these also earning the top rating for long-term care. U.S. News grants this distinction to nursing homes that meet rigorous criteria for quality, consistency, and resident satisfaction.
“We are deeply honored that 13 of our communities with a health center have been recognized among the nation’s best,” said Lifespace President and CEO Jesse Jantzen. “This distinction highlights the exceptional care we provide and reflects the unwavering dedication of our health center teams, whose commitment to enhancing the lives of our residents is truly inspiring.”
The short-term rehabilitation rating acknowledges Lifespace’s success in helping residents recover after surgeries, injuries, or illnesses. Through effective physical therapy, specialized nursing care, and support programs, these communities excel at restoring residents’ independence and well-being.
Seven of the 13 recognized communities also achieved a high-performance rating in long-term care, reflecting Lifespace’s commitment to providing compassionate, continuous support for residents with chronic conditions or age-related needs. This dual recognition underscores Lifespace’s ability to meet a wide range of health needs, from short-term recovery to stable, long-term care.
“Being recognized nationally as one of America’s Best Nursing Homes speaks to our commitment to quality and our dedication to the well-being of our valued residents,” Jantzen continued. “It is an honor and privilege to serve residents in communities they proudly call ‘home.’ We are excited to continue sharing our story of exceptional care with those we are privileged to serve.”

Since 2009, U.S. News’ annual Best Nursing Homes ratings have assisted American families in need of either short-term rehabilitation or long-term care for themselves or a loved one. For the 2025 edition, the rankings service evaluated nearly 15,000 nursing homes on patient and resident outcomes, such as infection rates, staffing levels, potentially inappropriate reliance on antipsychotic drugs, health inspection results, and other quality indicators.
