Matt Monaco to Join Newcastle Place as Executive Director

MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin (May 9, 2022) – Lifespace Communities is pleased to announce the appointment of Matt Monaco as executive director of Newcastle Place, Lifespace’s exceptional senior living community located in Mequon, Wisconsin, effective May 9, 2022. Monaco most recently served as Associate Executive Director at Clarendale Clayton in Missouri.

Monaco has extensive culinary and operations experience in senior living, and once worked at former Lifespace community Deerfield Retirement Community in Urbandale, Iowa. Within a month of starting there, he fell in love with the senior living environment and the relationships that can be built with residents and team members. With his career path cemented in senior living, Monaco developed his long-term strategy to eventually become an executive director.

“Matt is known for helping people find their passion and leverage their strengths to realize their full potential,” said Ryan Rogers, regional vice president of operations. “He listens to his residents and team members and responds with empathy, compassion, creativity, energy and innovative ideas, and builds meaningful relationships that last a lifetime.”

Monaco received his Bachelor of Science in Hotel, Restaurant, and Institution Management from Iowa State University, and his Master of Science in Hospitality Management from Purdue University.

“I’m looking forward to meeting everyone at Newcastle Place and reconnecting with my Lifespace team members,” said Monaco. “I’m joining a seasoned and dedicated team and look forward to continuing to build the community into the greatest senior living community in the Milwaukee area.”
