Lifespace Communities Names Maia Bonner as Vice President of Sales
Lifespace Communities announces Maia Bonner as its new vice president of sales. Bonner, a 20-year industry veteran, will oversee sales initiatives for the nonprofit senior living organization, which owns and operates 12 communities across seven states.
“It’s an honor to welcome Maia to the Lifespace family,” said Sloan Bentley, Lifespace president and CEO. “Maia has a comprehensive understanding of the challenges facing retirement communities and the families they serve. She’s also interested in innovative approaches to both attracting and meeting the demands of current and future residents, which is invaluable in meeting our strategic goals.”
Bonner has held sales and operations management positions at both for-profit and nonprofit organizations. Prior to joining Lifespace, she served as vice president of sales at HumanGood, a California-based nonprofit senior living organization. There, she oversaw a team of more than 50 sales professionals at 18 communities.
“What attracted me to this role was the leadership team’s devotion to successful aging and their vision for the future,” said Bonner. “I’m looking forward to continuing to serve seniors and building upon the great foundation Lifespace has laid for the past few decades.”
Bonner earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Phoenix. She has served on the Institutional Review Board of Chandler Regional Medical Center in Chandler, Arizona, and is a former advisory board member for the Arizona State University Women’s Center. She currently volunteers for various organizations with a focus on environmental causes and improving the lives of homeless families, seniors and children in need.
Lifespace Communities Names Russell Mauk as Vice President of Development, Design and Construction
Lifespace Communities announces Russell Mauk as its new vice president of development, design and construction. Mauk, a California-licensed architect, brings 35 years of experience to the role.
“Organizational growth is paramount to our success, and Russell has vast technical expertise and leadership experience that will be invaluable,” said Sloan Bentley, Lifespace president and CEO, whose organization is currently undertaking more than $450 million in expansion and redevelopment projects at various communities. “We’re absolutely thrilled to have him as part of the Lifespace family and are looking forward to his contributions.”
Mauk previously worked at HumanGood, a California-based nonprofit senior housing provider, where he managed the redevelopment of eight senior living communities and the development of one new campus. Prior to that, he worked for Sun Microsystems, a California-based technology firm, where he managed the development of two high-tech campuses, including the company’s headquarters. Additionally, he has developed office, retail and warehouse properties.
“Lifespace’s continued desire to grow its mission and the possibilities that exist within such an environment are what attracted me to this role,” Mauk said. “I’m excited to help shape the future of this organization while impacting the lives of many.”
