Nursing Association Recognizes Lifespace Communities with National Award
June 22, 2015
At its national conference opening ceremony in Atlanta June 7, the National Association of Directors of Nursing Administration (NADONA) recognized Lifespace Communities, Inc., for its commitment to and sponsorship of its directors of nursing.
NADONA is chartered to support and promote quality of care for individuals receiving long-term care at all clinical levels. In recognizing Lifespace with a trophy, the organization praised the company for its expansive program of clinical excellence, and further elaborated on the support Lifespace extends both to its directors of nursing (DONs) and NADONA.
“It’s a great honor for Lifespace Communities to support our directors of nursing in this organization and to provide the resources, avenues and venues they need to grow personally and professionally,” said Charles Hall, director of clinical excellence for Lifespace.
NADONA specifically recognized Lifespace as the only corporate member with 100 percent of its DONs having been certified as directors of nursing administration in long-term care (CDONA/LTC), the organization’s highest nationally recognized certification program.
Sara Hamm, vice president of clinical services for Lifespace, said Lifespace was honored to receive the recognition. She praised NADONA for its commitment and contributions to the long-term care profession as a whole.
“NADONA not only supports and promotes quality of care for those receiving long-term care, but also has genuine concern for those delivering long-term care through advocacy, sharing of best practices and high-quality education for our nursing leaders,” Hamm said. “In addition to our NADONA certifications, we will support our nursing leaders to pursue additional clinical certifications in 2016.”
As part of the recognition, Lifespace was initiated into NADONA’s elite Corporate Member status as one of 11 companies that enthusiastically partners with NADONA to sponsor and support directors of nursing.
